Wirral Drug and Alcohol Action (DAAT)
Wirral DAAT brings together a wide range of local public bodies, including community and voluntary organizations, that are all concerned with the effects of drug and alcohol use in the area. We are responsible for meetings local targets, set by the Government, to reduce the harm and health risks caused by substance misuse.
Note: Wirral DAAT is not itself a treatment service. People seeking advice, support or treatment should directly approach the services listed in this directory.
The four main strands of the national strategy are:
- Preventing harm to children, young people and families affected by drug misuse
- Protecting communities through tackling drug supply, drug-related crime and anti-social behaviour
- Delivering new approaches to drug treatment and social re-integration
- Public information campaigns, communications and community engagement
Our vision:
A Wirral Society free of all the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.
