- Where to access antenatal and postnatal care.
It is very important that you see your midwife as soon as you find out you are pregnant, especially if you have a medical condition such as diabetes or epilepsy or if you had any complications in your last pregnancy or birth.
Your midwife can check that everything is all right with you and your baby. They will also be able to advise you about your pregnancy, arrange check-ups and scans and help you choose where to give birth.
